How to ask a foreign girl out

Joshua Pompey
Dating Coach Expert Interview. 27 November 2019.

  • Keep it short and simple. Just say something like, “Interested in a movie?” or “Want to go bowling this Friday evening?”
  • Have a concrete place and a time where you want to meet. If you just say, “Want to go see a movie some time?” then you’ll sound indecisive. It’s important to state a time so she knows you’re serious and you thought it out.
  • Give her an option to do something else. Maybe she wants to go out with you, but she’s a terrible bowler; maybe she wants to go to dinner, but she just went to the place you suggested last night. Make it clear that you have a plan, but that you’re open to doing something else, too.
  • 1.What getting a phone number means

An American girl giving you her phone number means she is considering going out with you. It doesn’t take long to get — after all, it’s her number, not a wedding ring. The same for Italian girls, right? HA!

With an Italian girl, you will work hard just to get her phone number. Right away, she wants to have an idea of how hard you are going to work to get her attention. In Italian we say (roughly translated): “He who begins well is halfway done”. Begin.

    2. Who asks who out

An American girl will show you if she has interest in you, and she won’t be afraid to ask you out.

An Italian girl probably won’t ask you out first. Actually, take the ‘probably’ away. You need to ask her out first, always. Even the second time. And the third time.

    3. Game on

An American girl isn’t so much into ‘the chase’ — she generally doesn’t run away for too long, or too far away. If she says she can’t go when you ask her out for a date, it’s probably true. Insisting too much would be inappropriate.

An Italian girl always wants to know how much you are willing to work for her. The fact that she says no the first time doesn’t mean she can’t go out or doesn’t want to. She is testing you. Now, the third time she says no, she means it (and don’t insist). But don’t take the first no as a fail. It’s a challenge, so accept it.

    4. Primping required

American girls pay attention to how they dress, but guys… not so much. They’re often deemed as looking acceptable once they meet the minimum standards.

Italian guys take the same amount of time to get ready as American girls. On the one hand, fashion, elegance, and taste are embedded in the Italian culture, so Italian guys don’t even notice they have this going for them. But in Italy, especially for the first date, looks definitely count a lot.

    5. Odd numbers mean good odds

An American girl can take time away from her friend to talk to you on a night out. She might even ditch her friend for half the night, depending how interested in you she is.

An Italian girl would never leave her friend alone. Therefore, either have a friend so you all pair up, or you need an odd number: 1, she is by herself; or 3, so she can spend some time with you because she leaves two friends together.

    6. Chivalry is definitely not dead

American girls are much less used to guys being gentlemen — opening the door for the lady, waiting for her to sit before you sit, etc. Also, American girls often offer to share the bill after a few dates.

In Italy, it is going to be much longer before a girl pays for something when you go out for a coffee / drink / dinner. Italian girls expect, and demand, chivalry. Rightly so.

    7. Skilled flirting is mandatory

American girls like flirting, but they’re much more direct. A good flirt is always enjoyable, but perhaps they are not too used to it.

For Italian girls, it not only is the ‘cherry on top of the cake’ (as we say in Italy), it is an art you are going to have to master if you want to date an Italian girl.

If you haven’t been able to surmise from my little avatar photo off to the side and my non-WASP name (although, sometimes I like to prance about in Victorian lace numbers and call myself Marjorie Altringham), I am Not a White Person. This means I am a walking version of this fun little game called “What Kind of Not White Person Are You?” Here’s how it goes: I introduce myself to you at a party or some such social gathering. You introduce yourself as well. In an attempt to get to know me better, or maybe just keep the conversation going, you want to know exactly how I am a Not a White Person. Which is totally fine at the right time and place, because I love gabbing on about my immigrant parents and how much I love mango pickle. It’s all good fun in post-racial America, like wearing a red, white, and blue dashiki on the fourth of July (who knew you could don a dashiki and be patriotic at the same damn time?!)

But the majority of the time I play this game, supposedly well-intentioned people curious about my brownness go about asking it in the wrong way. No, not the wrong way- the ASSHOLE way. I get it, really. You grew up in a suburb of Indianapolis and no one ever taught you how to not be an asshole. That’s actually my life story, too, but you can’t always throw Indianapolis under the bus as your excuse for being ignorant.

Fret not, dear reader. I’m here to sift through insane Yahoo! Answers and my own Brown Girl Feelings to tell you exactly how not to be an asshole when asking a Not White Person about their ethnicity. It’s really very simple once you get the hang of it! Let’s practice together, shall we?

Okay, so we tackled the ladies’ end of this topic last week. I think it’s only fair we flip the script.

Ten Questions To Ask A Man Before You Agree to Marry Him

It’s been my experience in life that, while men are more likely to bitch about the institution of…

Got a ladyfriend? Thinking of popping the question to her? Good for you. Now, it’s time for you to do your homework. You’d hate to marry your girlfriend without realizing that she has a secret zipper running down the back of her body, and that upon marriage she will unzip this skin suit and reveal that she is actually BEASTULA: VAMPIRE HYDRA QUEEN OF THE FIFTH CIRCLE. It does happen from time to time. Consult the “Succubus” episode of “South Park” for a refresher course.

I am not one of these people who thinks every woman out there is a raving nutjob. As I’ve said before, I think women are usually the ones who end up getting hosed in the whole marriage deal. They have to give birth. They usually have to do more of the child work. They get less real estate in the bed. They have to fuck men. It’s not a pleasant thing. But that doesn’t mean guys can’t end up getting screwed as well. Here now are ten questions you should politely and discreetly ask any woman before you go ring shopping. YOU COULD TEXT MESSAGE HER THESE! SHE’D LOVE IT!

    1. Can we live together for a period of at least one year prior to marriage?

Oh, are you Catholic? Don’t like the idea of living in sin? Awww, that’s so quaint. You’re a fucking moron. Man or woman, you better damn well know if you enjoy the day-to-day experience of living with your potential spouse before you decide to get hitched. And the whole, “Well, we see each other all the time. We pretty much live together anyway,” thing is WRONG. It’s so terribly wrong. If you have your own place, that means you can GET AWAY.

    Runow Water Rowing Machine

    Water-Resistance Based Rowing
Using water as the resistance method means it’s easier to adjust, lighter overall, and longer-lasting too. It’s an excellent way to make sure you can keep on top of your cardio while at home, and is sure to help your get fitter.

    2. Can we please be married for a period of three years before we begin trying to have children?

No woman will actually agree to three years. Strictly a bargaining point. Ideally, you negotiate down to two, one in a worst-case scenario. Are you marrying a woman over the age of 30? You’re fucked. She’ll throw away her blister pack of Yasmin two months before your wedding night. But if you’re marrying a woman in her twenties, IMPLORE her to give you some time before kids come and ruin everything. Travel. Eat. Have lots of sex. Spend money on retarded things. You can do all that before you have kids. Get as much of that time as possible. Otherwise, you’ll have kids, you’ll pass each other in the night, and you’ll ask yourself, “Hey, WHO THE FUCK IS THIS PERSON?”

    3. I know we aren’t going to have as much sex once we get married, but exactly how much sex will we NOT have?

Varies by woman. However, as a guideline, I’d take the number of times you have sex a month right now, divide that number by five, and then multiply it by zero. That’ll give you a solid idea of how much future sex is in store for you.

    4. If I agree to be the breadwinner in the family, will you accept that sometimes I have to DO FUCKING WORK in order to win said bread?

Happens to some men out there. They get married, they get a job, they have a shitload of kids, and then wifey is on the phone at 2PM every day saying, “HEY, I NEED YOU TO COME HOME.” Or, “Couldn’t you take a day off or something?” Well, no. No, that isn’t how it works. In order to live, we need MONEY. Which means we have to fucking work, sometime late! We’re not out a titty bar. We’re not golfing. We’re really, truly, legitimately working. And we’ll be right home, unless you delay our work by calling every ten fucking minutes.

    5. Do you cook? Or clean? Are you mildly proficient in home economics?

Again, this question works for both sexes. Don’t marry some lazy bitch (or asshole) who won’t fucking do anything.

    6. Have we broken up several times before?

Yes? Then you’re going to end up getting fucking divorced.

    7. Do you take any medication for depression, particularly manic depression? What happens if you don’t take it?

Oh, I’ll tell you what happens if they don’t take it. Your severed penis in a recycling bin.

    8. I’m going to do my damnedest to provide for you and our children. But I can’t guarantee we’ll ever be rich or anything. Is that good enough for you?

Because it isn’t, for some ladies. Some ladies will expect you to become CEO of Prestige Worldwide by age 37. When I worked in advertising, I had a lunatic ex-girlfriend who constantly demanded that I try and find a job in finance. Avoid women like this, women who could give two shits about you following your passions and seeing where they lead. Women like that are horrid.

    9. I like lots of sports and music and movies that you probably don’t. Will you not try and get me to unlove those things?

In other words, do you want to marry me, or do you want to marry some wet dream version of me? Because I’ll never be that fucking person. Marriage is acceptance. You either accept the person, warts and all, or you don’t. If your girlfriend is going to marry you hoping you’ll become some other person who doesn’t listen to Slayer and jack off three times a day, you may as well let her ass down easy now.

    10. Would you mind signing this?

It’s something that you need to have because if she leave yo ass she gon leave with HALF.

What it all boils down to is if you’re marrying someone who’s as dedicated to YOUR happiness as you are to theirs. Because if it ain’t even, then you’re fucked. Forever. I’m sure I forgot millions more, including any and all questions about the history of the Baltimore Colts. Our commenters will fill you in.

Personally, Its a way better idea to know a girl before you can ask her out. It just builds up the comfort zone for you and the girl. Also it won’t be creepy.

If a guy I didn’t know asked me out randomly. I’ll judge and be very bias. Into sayin’ that he wants to go out with me for other reasons. You know?

So its a good idea to just at least make sure the girl knows who you are before you can ask her out.

Very true but I kind of showed her I’m interested in her as a person in the few days I have really began to talk to her. Thanks is it ok to ask her to prom as friends even if I don’t know her well.

I think you should and yea its okay because like you said you have really began to talk to her and whatnot so yea go for it!

I’ve been on lots of dates with guys that I didn’t know much about or they weren’t my friends first. That’s the whole point of dating someone, to get to know them.

I say go for it. Since you don’t really know her you have nothing to lose. Take a shot and see if she wants to get to know you. That’s the fun part about dating.

This gets back to the bigger question: what does it mean to “ask a girl out”? Some people think that it means that you’re in a relationship. In my opinion, though, asking her out refers to a date such as having dinner or something.

If you’re talking about going on a date, you don’t need to know her as a friend at all really. that’s what the date is for: to get to know her better.

If you mean entering into a relationship, it’s best to develop your interactions for a while first, and then when you both feel comfortable, go for it.

Though they may call it cheesy, girls love receiving sweet text messages from their boyfriends. So you guys can safely look for some such messages to send to your girl right here, and make her feel like the most special person in your life!

How to ask a foreign girl out

Boys may consider themselves very ‘macho’ to send ‘sweet, cute; and romantic’ text messages to a girl, but you should know that it is one sure way to make a place in her heart. So go ahead, forget all your inhibitions and find some sweet text messages to send to a girl that will make her heart melt for you.

Sweet Text Messages for a Girl You Like

So, you want to tell her she’s special, but you don’t want to go overboard. Try out these messages that speak for themselves.

You can’t see the sun when it rains, but you know it’s there. I hope we can both be like the sun, who don’t always see each other, but who are always there for each other.

An angel once asked why I care for you so much. I told her I care for you so much because … I can’t find a reason not to.

I admit I’ll never be the perfect one. I’ll never always be there. I may fail to make you smile at times, but there is one thing I could do. I could be the person I am, for you.

What makes some people more special than others? It’s not just the happiness you feel when you meet them, but the anguish you feel when you miss them.

Certain people touch your heart in a way that you just can’t stop thinking about them; that is the kind of person you are; so far, yet so near, so simple, yet so desirable.

There’s no special reason for this message; I just want to steal a single moment of your busy life and hope I can make you smile when I say: I Miss You.

They say, as long as at least one person cares for you, life isn’t a waste. So when things go terribly wrong and you feel like giving up, please remember you still have me.

Life is full of beautiful things: soft sunsets, painted rainbows, delicate blossoms, love & laughter, quiet moments, and a wonderful someone, like you.

A time may come when I can’t smile anymore; but don’t worry about me, I know what to do. I’ll just close my eyes and think of you. No one else could make me smile, the way you do.
A date is a mere formality I need to complete before I can tell you what you really mean to me.
It’s difficult to imagine now, hard to believe for a minute, that I once led a life, that didn’t have you in it.

Sweet Text Messages for Your Girlfriend

You made it. You’ve finally wooed the girl you have liked for so long. Sending her a cute text message expressing your love is a great idea, to tell her how much she means to you.

They say love hurts, but I’m ready to take that risk if I’m going to be with you.

They say love gives you wings; is that why I’m on seventh heaven?

What is love? Those who don’t like it call it responsibility. Those who play with it call it a game. Those who don’t have it call it a dream. Those who understand it call it destiny. And me, I call it you.

I hope that you finally understand that I will love you until the end, because you are not just my girl, you are also my best friend!

I don’t miss you and you alone; I miss you and me together.

My eyes are more precious when you look into them; I know what’s in a name only when you say mine; my life is worth more, because you are in it.

You can also quote some lines from a romantic poem or just some famous quotes as expressions of your feelings while texting your girlfriend.

“I shall hide myself within the moon of the spring night, after I have dared to reveal my love to you.” – Chino Masako

“What did I know thinking myself able to go alone all the way.” – Robert Creeley

“How lucky I am to have something that makes saying goodbye so hard.” – A.A. Milne, Winnie-the-Pooh

“If I tell you I love you, can I keep you forever?” – Casper (Movie)

“You make me want to be a better man.” – As Good As It Gets (Movie)

“Don’t say you love me unless you really mean it, ’cause I might do something crazy, like believe it.” – Shawn Desman, Something Stupid (Song)

Come on boys! Try sending these lovely messages to your girls and make them feel as special as they really are in your lives!

How to ask a foreign girl out

Are you considering international adoption ? That’s great! There are millions of children around the world who are growing up without families, so if you’re hoping to grow your family through adoption, international adoption is a great way to do it.

International adoption is a huge commitment–and a tremendous joy. And before you embark on your international adoption journey, there are a few things you’ll need to be aware of.

How to ask a foreign girl out

    1. It’s important to examine your motivations before moving forward.

Before you move forward with an international adoption , it’s important to look closely at your reasons for adopting .

From the get-go, it’s important to be clear that international adoption is not simply a nice thing to do. It’s not a celebrity trend . It’s not a fashion statement. It’s not a good deed. It’s not an amazing series of photo ops. It’s not a way of sidestepping birth parent issues . It’s not a way of filling the hole in your heart.

International adoption is adding a child to your family . It’s making a lifelong commitment to another human being . It’s having a willingness to persistently work to overcome any challenges that arise–both before and after the adoption. It’s opening your heart to a different culture and another country.

So spend some time honestly evaluating the reasons you want to adopt. Ultimately, it comes down to this: If you want to add a child to your family–and are willing to dedicate a lifetime of blood, sweat, tears, money, sleep, and worry to the well-being of your child–international adoption is a great choice for you.

    2. You can’t adopt from just any country.

Choosing a country to adopt from is not as easy as closing your eyes and throwing a dart at a map of the world. Many countries are closed to international adoptions, for a variety of reasons. Wealthier countries generally try to find homes for its children inside their borders. Because of the Hague Adoption Convention , many poorer countries are closed to international adoptions because they are working to implement changes that protect children and families. Some countries, like Russia, are closed for political reasons.

Every country that does choose to place children for international adoption has established rules and requirements for adoptive families, putting restrictions of parental age, marital status and health, number of other children in the home, etc. Most countries require that you travel to pick up your child; others, like Uganda, require that you foster children inside the country for a certain amount of time before you adopt.

Many countries have a faster track for parents adopting children with special needs . Children with special needs may have easily correctable medical conditions or face more complex, lifelong challenges.

When you’re choosing a country to adopt from , you’ll need to consider whether the country is open to adoption, whether you meet that country’s criteria, and whether you’re willing to comply with the requirements set up by that country for travel or fostering. It might be helpful to connect with parents who have already adopted from the countries you’re interested in so you can get a better feel for what the process looks like. Visit to connect through international adoption forums.

To help you get started in selecting a country, here are the ten most popular countries for international adoptions in 2015:

    China – 2354 adoptions completed in 2015

Ethiopia – 335 adoptions completed in 2015 (now closed to international adoption)

South Korea – 318 adoptions completed in 2015

♀♂ What kind of people you would love to be around? And what kind of people you simply can’t stand?

♀♂ If I ask you to go on a vacation right this second, where would you like to go? And why?

♀♂ Name one embarrassing and one proud moment in your life.

♀♂ What do you think about me?

Topics to Discuss and Make Her Smile

While on the phone with a girl, there can be lots of subjects you can talk about. You know that girls love to talk over the phone. So this can be a great opportunity to get to know her and build an impression. Whatever she talks about or anything you say or ask, she will be monitoring that (subconsciously, of course) and will make up her mind about you. So proceed carefully (don’t mean to scare you here).

♀♂ At the end of the conversation… Have a good night and can’t wait to see you tomorrow at work/school.

♀♂ Hey, it’s (your name). I was wondering if you had any plans for the evening? There’s a good movie that I wanted to take you to and it’s only playing for one night.

♀♂ If you two are dating… I can’t wait to see you Friday night. Wish today was Friday.

♀♂ I had the most amazing time tonight. What’d you think of the restaurant/movie/concert?

Topics a Girl Will Love to Discuss

To keep someone interested in what you have to say, you don’t need to be talking about things like science, environment, global warming, economy, or other heavy topics. Simple, lighthearted conversations can also keep a person interested. What you need to understand is that in order to strike up a conversation with a stranger or someone you hardly know is that the person in front of you should also be willing to discuss on those topics. Picture this as a two-way street and you’ll know what I’m talking about. If you want to know how to start a conversation with a stranger, then perhaps the questions mentioned below can help.

♀♂ Hey, I had a question for you. What are your plans for the weekend?

♀♂ I was wondering if you’d like to watch this foreign film with me? It’s got great reviews.

♀♂ I found this really great Chinese restaurant down the block. Would you like to accompany me?

    ♀♂ Wow, that’s a great dog. What’s his/her name?

♀♂ This is the first time I’ve been to this restaurant. Is there anything that I should try?

♀♂ That’s an unusual name. I’ve never heard that one before. What does it mean?

♀♂ Are you from (Name of the city)? No? How long have you been living here for?

♀♂ What do you do for weekends? There’s a really great miniature golf club here. Would you like to go with me?

♀♂ When you bump into one other in the elevator… How was your day today?

♀♂ I remember you were talking about traveling to India once. I’m really fascinated with the country. Can you tell me more about it?

These were some topics to talk over with a girl. Whether it’s a face to face conversation or over the phone/text, these conversation starter questions can really come in handy when you don’t know what to say next. It’s better to have some good conversation starters with girls than to seem boring or dull. Am I right or what?

By being sensitive to cultural and ethnic differences, counselors are able to help individuals overcome traumatic experiences. Maintaining sensitivity toward cultural differences in a variety of settings is a requirement that counselors must follow. Counselors can communicate with diverse clients by maintaining an awareness of cultural differences.

To learn more, check out the infographic below created by Wake Forest University’s online Master of Arts in Human Services degree program.

Add This Infographic to Your Site

    Statistical Overview

In 2016, 14 percent of the U.S. population was foreign-born, whereas only five percent of the population was foreign-born in 1965. This increase in cultural diversity is noticeable in schools, workplaces, the military and many other settings. Being aware of demographics and statistics can help counselors understand any issues that may appear.

According to the U.S. Census Bureau, there were 49.7 million people of Hispanic descent, 14.4 million people of Asian descent, 39.9 million people of black descent and 200.9 million people of non-Hispanic white descent living in the U.S. in 2010.

While more people from Latin America are living in the U.S. than people from Asia, projections show that Asians are immigrating at a faster rate than Latin Americans. The Hispanic population is expected to increase 167 percent by 2050, but the Asian population is expected to increase 213 percent by this time.

10 Questions to Ask a Client with a Diverse Cultural Background

    1. What was your experience growing up in your family, and in what ways has this impacted your view of family and parenting today?
This question helps remove native cultural stereotypes by focusing on family life.

    2. What country are you originally from, and why did you move to the U.S.?
By showing counselors how and why the individual celebrates, this questions helps them learn more about cultural traditions.

    3. Tell me about some traditions, celebrations or rituals your family participates in?
This question can show counselors how the individual celebrates and why.

    4. Have you ever been treated poorly because of your ethnicity, race or beliefs? If so, in what ways?
This question helps counselors guide the discussion. By discerning possible trauma, the counselor can determine whether discrimination is a source of anger for the individual.

    5. Have people made incorrect assumptions about you or your family in a way that’s caused problems?
This questions allows counselors to take the initial steps in determining the cause of a problem, which could help the individual make sense of possible reasons behind others’ inaccurate assumptions.

    6. What spiritual or religious beliefs are important to you and your family, and how do they impact day-to-day life?
By understanding the religious beliefs of the individual, counselors persist in being sensitive and respectful.

    7. Does your culture have a perspective on receiving counseling or mental health therapy?
By determining if a stigma toward mental health exists in the individual’s culture, counselors can identify whether it impacts the individual’s willingness to receive therapy.

    8. What do you do and who do you turn to for help when your family has needs or troubles?
By asking this question, counselors can identify whether individuals value advice from religious authorities or prefer not involving outside parties for the sake of maintaining a favorable reputation in their cultural community.

    9. How does your culture help with coping from anxiety, sadness or other troubles?
By figuring out whether the individual’s beliefs are more closely rooted to their culture than scientific fact, the counselor can show tact when suggesting counseling from licensed professionals.

    10. Do you have any questions about counseling or this assessment?
By encouraging an open dialogue, the counselor can foster a sense of trust and respect as well as address any concerns that may have been overlooked by the counselor or the individual.

    How Culture Can Affect Counseling

The counselor’s method of communicating is impacted by the varied ways that cultures communicate. Counselors should determine triggering terms as well as appropriate eye contact and gestures.

Experienced counselors can identify whether depression comes from the difficulties of adjusting to a new culture or from another source. Counselors can then make suggestions to help the client acclimate and foresee other issues that may arise. For example, if a client was raised in a small tribal society, they may need advice for becoming accustomed to large crowds.

    Challenges and Resources for Counselors

When counselors work with clients from diverse backgrounds, they must navigate an array of challenges. Whether they’re overcoming personal prejudices or dealing with linguistic barriers, counselors must take any steps necessary to offer clients competent counseling services.

Unfortunately, counselors must often handle challenges associated with understaffing and underfunding when counseling culturally diverse individuals. Counselors should also be aware of their own limitations and be able to work with culture brokers and consultants to avert incorrect assessments, diagnoses and treatments.

Counselors can use the APA’s “Guidelines for Providers of Psychological Services to Ethnic, Linguistic, and Culturally Diverse Populations” to find advice for providing culturally sensitive counseling services. Counselors can also access helpful podcasts, practice briefs, webinars and other resources from the American Counseling Association.

How to ask a foreign girl out

We all have relatives living around the globe. Sometimes, it so happens that one of your best friends emigrates to a foreign country and you feel completely alone. In times like these we can whatsapp an international number and save ourselves from the pinching sadness. In ancient times, before the advent of messaging apps, such as Whatsapp, it was impossible to instantly get in touch with our distant friends. But now, the game has changed. The obsolete methods of communications, such as sending letters by post have been superseded by the invention of Whatsapp. Initially, International calling was expensive and it wasn’t a luxury everyone could afford. But now, International calling doesn’t cost you a thing, all thanks to Whatsapp.

Whatsapp has revolutionized how people communicate with each other. It’s an app that is available on all platforms — the iOs, Android and Windows phone. And the best part— it doesn’t cost you a dime. Missing your partner who is in a remote country? just take out your Smartphone from your pocket and dial their number on Whatsapp or send them a ” cute text” to inform them of your lovesickness. It’s that simple! Whatsapp has amassed over a billion users in just a couple of years. That statistic proves it is an indispensable asset for Smartphone users nowadays. Not only does it make domestic calling and texting a breeze, it also provides excellent services for International communications.

However, some people make certain mistakes while adding International contacts on their phone. They miss subtle details, without which, the communication can’t take place. That is why I have devised this in-depth guide for people who want to Whatsapp an international number.

How to Add an International Contact on Whatsapp

It’s highly important that you correctly format the International number. If you have any confusions about the country code, head to the Whatsapp country code list which can be found here. It is a comprehensive list containing the calling codes of every country in the world.

    1. After finding the correct country code, start your number with a plus sign (+). Follow up the plus with the country code. For example, I have a friend who lives in the United Kingdom. The country code for UK is 0044. Omit the zeros and replace them with a plus sign like this : +44 . After the country code, type in their Whatsappnumber. The final number will look something like this.

How to ask a foreign girl out

    2. You can then choose to message, voice call or video call them depending upon your needs.

How to ask a foreign girl out

That’s how simple it is to Whatsapp an International number. It’s better to follow all the instructions properly to avoid any complications. Sometimes things are so simple, but we miss tiny details and end up complicating the whole process.

Now, you can talk for long-hours with your best friend living in Argentina, Brazil or in any part of the world with exemplary ease. I know, it’s not a permanent cure for your lovesickness, but it’s still something. It’s still better than sending pigeons and waiting for weeks to have your message delivered. I read about how Kings used to send emissaries to deliver a short message and I wonder how agonizing it could’ve been for us if not for Whatsapp or other Instant messaging apps. I mean, I already have to pay Student loans. I don’t have much to spare for messengers.

Does your company call them all-hands? Town halls? Fireside chats? Whatever your leadership gathering is, we’ve all had that opportunity to fire away a few smart questions directly at the “big boss.”

How to ask a foreign girl out

Senior managers are increasingly understanding that we want flatter organizational structure and better access to top leaders. These types of gatherings are an awesome opportunity to engage top leadership and truly sharpen your understanding of the company. They’re also a valuable chance to show your peers (and your own direct reports) that you take these forums seriously and that you know how to connect with management. Whether you’re in a large forum or a smaller group setting, having a few carefully-crafted questions on hand can ensure you look engaged, thoughtful, and well-prepared.

How you ask these questions is just as important as what you ask. Most commonly when the Q&A starts, you introduce yourself by your name and working title, and follow with a question. Style points count here. If there’s a microphone, use it. Deliver your question clearly and with confidence, making eye contact with the person to whom you are directing the question.

These questions are also at their best when you’ve done a bit of homework. Depending on who is going to be answering, brushing up on their bios can help you ask smarter questions. Lastly, tailor, tailor, tailor! The smartest questions in these circumstances are those that advance the conversation about your industry, company, or peer group, so customize these themes for the greatest impact.

    1. What three books would we find on your bookshelf at home?

You can bet whatever they say should be added to your reading list — it most likely has already trickled down to your boss! It can be beneficial to have an understanding of the business theories, methodologies, and ideas that are influencing management discussions in your company.

    2. What advice would you have for yourself if you could go back 20 years in your career?

Tailor the time horizon to the approximate seniority here, but you’re essentially working to get them about level with your age, and dishing out the perspective that they wish they’d had at the earlier stages of their work.

    3. Have you ever considered a major change from this career (or company) and if so, what kept you here?

Everyone has a ghost ship, or the path not taken. Posing this question gives some insights into what other opportunities you may even personally consider along your career path. If you’re considering a job change, it can also give you some helpful data points to reconsider about why people choose to stick around.

    4. Who outside of our industry inspires you?

This question is a fun one because it gives your senior an opportunity to introduce something a little more personal about themselves, but in a professional context. It can also be inspiration to expand your own horizons and look outside your immediate circle for mentorship and career inspiration.

    5. What energizes you most about our company?

This is a great way to get leaders talking about the future. Often, under the auspices of this question, they’ll be even more likely to tease out new initiatives, products, or markets that can help you get excited and encourage you to fall in love with your job again.

    6. What keeps you up at night?

Don’t dance around it or add filler words. This question is direct and punchy, and best delivered with confidence. Their response gives you hints about how to frame solutions to your direct boss in a way that resonates with their boss’s industry concerns.

    7. What do you find most challenging about your role?

It can be tempting to think that if we were just a little higher in the pecking order, things might be easier. Their answer gives you a better understanding of they types of challenges that lie ahead as you ascend the corporate ladder.

    8. How do you define personal success?

Caveating “personal” is important here. Look for answers that include fulfilling hobbies and family time to point to a healthy workplace culture that is somewhere you might want to be long-term.

    9. What are the qualities you look for in emerging leaders throughout the company?

Company mission and vision statements can be hard to translate into exactly the action items it takes to make an impact in your organization. Having the big boss lay out the leadership characteristics that they notice in your peer group can help you think about how to stand out.

    10. What are the three must-win battles for our division (company, team) this year?

We all have limited time in the day. Knowing what your senior managers view as key priorities for the company should help you align goals and measurable outcomes at your level as well.

This was requested and again, I got these results from a group of friends 😉

This list would be from the most likely to the least likely and I’m obviously not 100% sure about these so don’t get offended by them 🙂

We think that Namjoon will be the most interested in foreign/western girls because he’ll be confident enough thanks to him being bilingual. He probably would hesitate less than the others when it comes to asking you out!

We predict that Yoongi will be the type to try his hardest to start a conversation with you, picking up words and phrases from his/their songs and probably sounding quite dodgy. But once he gets used to you, he’ll say any English word that comes up into his head, trying to impress you.

We think Taehyung is the type to just blurt out anything that he can think of that you will understand, even if it offensive, at least he tried! When he’s with you, he’ll look for objects he can name and try to impress you.

Our prediction was that Jimin will kind of be shy to talk to you at first, covering his face when he laughs and fidgeting constantly. But he’ll be someone that’ll study your language really hard until he learns how to have a conversation with you. Once he gets the hang of it, he probably won’t stop talking to you!

Although we think Hoseok wouldn’t be the type to blurt every English word he knows, we think he’ll blurt everything in Korean! He’ll expect you to understand every word he’s saying and when you tell him you don’t understand, he’ll laugh cutely and just try to translate everything using actions.

We already know that Jungkook will definitely be interested in foreign/western girls but the thing is. he’ll be way too shy! As we’ve all seen on American Hustle Life, he gets extremely awkward in front of girls and always tries to stay away from them to make sure his heart doesn’t explode. So we think he’ll have a big crush on you but just won’t have the nerve to ask you out. (That’s the theme for this blog anyway)

Sadly for International Jin stans, he comes last in our list ㅠㅠ He’s already confirmed that he prefers Eastern Asian girls (mainly Korean, Japanese, Chinese etc.) But if there is a foreign girl that he’s interested in, he’ll ask his good ol’ friend Namjoon to translate a love letter for him and he’ll personally deliver it. In the letter he will apologize for the smallest things (like not being able to talk to you probably) but it will include lots of sweet things too!

*I will post a question asking what I should post next if you want to send in a request :)*

The following post is a guest post from Beth, who has been living in India for years. She’s dated Indian men and has a few tips to share for foreigner women dating Indian men here in India whether on their travels or if you are living here as an expat.

Dating in India as a Foreigner: The Do’s and Don’ts

I had only been on my first date in India for about 30 minutes, and already I was almost in tears and wanted to go home! It was a nightmare! A friend introduced to me to a nice looking Indian guy who asked me for my number. I thought, why not? I’m single and Indian guys are hot, so I gave him my number.

Several days later I accepted his offer to go out for dinner. But just as we were parking to go into the restaurant he pulled out a three pack of condoms and told me he was ready. REALLY? Ready?

I struggled to maintain my composure. Frankly, I was pissed! How dare he assume he would get sex from me on the first date! I’m not saying it was completely outside the realm of possibility, but his presumption, and approach to it, shocked me!

After taking a couple of calming breaths, I asked him what gave him the idea that I was going to have sex with him on our date.

He seemed hurt, and equally shocked that I was upset. “I thought that was what you wanted,” he said, sounding genuinely confused. “I thought you would be happy that I was prepared.” I asked him how he got that idea and his response was that he thought that was what all American women wanted.

After further discussion he explained that he got that impression from watching American TV shows like Sex in the City and Desperate Housewives.

I didn’t go out with him, or any other Indian guys, for a few months after that. But when I finally did I had a much better experience. By then I had learned some basic do’s and don’ts of the Indian culture. It helped tremendously with my expectations.

I still had a few other shocking experiences though. While spending a weekend in Dubai I met a nice guy from India and spent most of the weekend with him. A few days later he left a marriage proposal on my voicemail! Yikes! Here are some helpful things to keep in mind.

Do’s for Foreigners Dating in India

    • Dress modestly or at least according to the local standards. For example, Goa is much more modern than Delhi so you can get away with shorts and tank tops in Goa. However, if you wear such things in Delhi you will attract the wrong sort of attention.
    • Expect bars to close around 12:30, and they really don’t start rolling until after 10:00, so you might not have a lot of time to hang out.
    • Realize that our idea of friendliness might be their idea of flirtation. Not long ago I went shopping with my Indian boyfriend and was chatting with the clerk that helped me. My boyfriend said he thought I was being flirtatious while I just thought I was being nice and polite.
    • Ask if they have a car. Car ownership is not as prevalent in India so you may need to take public transportation.
    • Realize that they may think we are less inhibited (or easier) than Indian women. It does not take much to encourage them. Even sharing your phone number might make them think you are interested in more than just a date.
    • Be safe. This applies to dating in America as well, but it is even more important in India, where a white woman is viewed as a prize. Always tell someone where you’re going and who you will be with. Go to a public place and pay attention to where you are.

Don’ts for Foreigners Dating in India

    • Get upset if their mom starts calling around 9:00. Most Indian young men live with their parents until they get married. Even then, their new wife often moves in to the household rather than them getting their own place. So it is expected that his mom will worry about him and call him to make sure he is okay and behaving himself.
    • Be afraid to offer to help pay the bill. We make a lot more than most of them do.
    • Be surprised by chivalry. It’s alive and well in India. Guys still open doors and bring over flowers.
    • Expect to be introduced to their family any time soon. I have been with my current boyfriend for eight months and still haven’t met his family. 90% of marriages in India are still arranged and I’m sure I would not be the type of traditional Indian girl they would want for their son.
    • Be shocked if people stare at the two of you a lot. Interracial couple are not common in India.

Beth and her boyfriend, Kirti, living it up at the Grub Fest in Delhi

I am lucky to have beaten the odds and to have found a great boyfriend in India, but it did take some effort. We still have some major culture differences but we enjoy each other’s company and are open to the possibility of a long term future together. I hope you will step outside your comfort zone. You never know where you might find love.

How to ask a foreign girl out

There is always going to be a time in a woman’s life when she wants a fuckboy to fall in love with her. We just can’t help the attraction, the chase, and the desire to make someone, that is so unattainable, attainable. The problem is, a fuckboy is complex in the sense that they don’t really seem like they have the capacity to love, so how can a woman really make that happen? Here are 10 steps you can take to make a fuckboy fall in love with you.

    1. Don’t commit to them.

It seems contradicting, but in order to make a fuckboy fall in love with you—you can’t actually commit to them. These type of boys love a chase. If they know they have you, they’ll get over you just as quickly. You must act like you have other options, even if you don’t. Never be quick to give him anything, especially your own love.

How to ask a foreign girl out

    2. Drink him under the table (or at least keep up).

A stereotypical fuckboy will most likely have a drinking problem. This means he will be living a party life and you’ll have to keep up with him in order for him to have any interest. He wants someone who can drink alongside him without ending up on the floor at the end of the night. These boys care about their image and the last thing they want is to be seen with a girl who ends up puking in the toilet on the nights you spend out drinking with his friends.

    3. Don’t get upset when he’s with other girls.

Let’s be honest, a fuckboy is a fuckboy because he gets with a lot of girls. This means, you have to accept that fact in order to actually obtain any kind of relationship with him. To get a fuckboy to fall in love with you, you have to let him free to do his own thing and this includes being with other girls. It’s the reason his ego is so large in the first place. He doesn’t want to change and he especially doesn’t want a woman to try to change him.

    4. Be with other guys.

Make sure you are also playing the field, but not too much. A fuckboy will never explicitly show his jealousy, but he does still feel it. He will want you more, knowing that other guys want you as well. So, make sure you’re demonstrating that you’re also hooking up with other people. Not too much though, or else he will think you’re easy. Confusing? Yes, but so is a fuckboy’s mentality.

How to ask a foreign girl out

    5. Text sparingly.

STOP TEXTING FIRST. A fuckboy will never love a girl who is needy. As stated before, he’s in love with the chase. Make him sweat it out a little before you get back to him. If you’re not busy, because you’re thinking about him too much—you need to make yourself busy. Get a job, get friends, start a creative project—anything that will prevent you from double, triple and quadruple texting him when he doesn’t respond. He doesn’t like that. At all.

    6. Send him funny memes.

Fuckboys are usually simple minded. This means they rely on humor as their main source of conversation. Make sure you are up to date on the most humorous memes. Make sure you don’t send him ones he’s already seen. Make sure the humor is self-deprecating. They love when you poke fun at yourself or even at them, because most likely they’re already thinking the same thing.

    7. Be active on snapchat

A fuckboy’s main source of communication will most likely be snapchat. Short mind spans crave it’s quick snippets of information, which also includes nudes. Not that you should send them nudes, but they’re most likely receiving them. So, if you ever want to see or talk to them it will be through Snapchat. Make sure you’re posting interesting things—like partying and socializing, but never of you reading books are doing anything intellectual. That will only bore them.

    8. Hang out with hot girls.

Fuckboys love the idea of being around a lot of good looking girls. This means that he will be more likely to show interest in being around you, if you are known to hang out with a bunch of other good looking girls. Just make sure they’re not too much better looking than you, because then he’ll leave you for them in a heartbeat.

How to ask a foreign girl out

    9. Don’t ever show that you’re in love with him.

That’s right. In order for a fuckboy to fall in love with you, you can’t show that you have fallen in love with him—otherwise you’ve completely forgotten all of the steps above and it won’t ever happen. When you fall in love, you become vulnerable. You become soft and open. You want to care for and respect the person you love. It’s something a respectable man would appreciate, but a fuckboy will be completely avoidant of. He won’t know what to do with your love besides run away from it.

    10. Be a fuckgirl.

You accept the love you think you deserve. Deep down, a fuckboy knows he doesn’t deserve love from a respectable, intelligent, vulnerable woman or girl. What he does deserve is someone on the same level as him. You must limit yourself to be on his level in order to gain that acceptance into his life. The question you must ask yourself is this: Is he really even worth it?

Don’t get us wrong, the internet can be a beautiful place – but sometimes, some people aren’t always who they say they are. It could be someone you’ve met in an MMORPG, through Instagram comments or a ‘friend of a friend’ on Twitter, you just never know.

Calling Catfish – How to Spot a Fake…

We got our heads together to share our top tips for debunking a catfish. Various things motivate people who catfish. Mostly, it’s because they are desperately trying to hide who they actually are or they might have self-esteem and confidence issues.

So if it’s all sounding a little bit fishy, and you’re wondering ‘Am I being Catfished?”… you probably are! Here are some things we advise you look out to keep yourself safe:

    • Do a reverse image Google search. This is a quick and easy background check. Right-click their photos, copy the URL, and paste in the box at Google will then search for other sources of that image online. If nothing is found, try a few photos and see what crops up. Don’t forget that Instagram images aren’t indexed so Google won’t be able to search them. If you’re talking on an app like Tinder or Grindr, there’s an app you can download that does the same job called Veracity.
    • Google it. There’s a lot to be said for Googling names other than your own. See if you can find any credible information about them. If there’s nothing, that should raise alarm bells.
    • Language. We all make silly spelling mistakes (especially when autocorrect is involved), but if they’re making strange grammar and odd spelling mistakes continuously, (that would drive your primary school English teacher cray-zay) proceed with caution.
    • Money. Lending a fiver to your best mate for lunch is one thing, but if your new online ‘buddy’ is already asking you for money to get their car fixed so they can come and visit you, whilst promising to pay you back ‘later’. Let’s be honest, they won’t (you’re not a bank).
    • Check their check-ins. Everyone should have some sort of indication on their Facebook or Instagram profile that they have a life outside their computer. We’ve all checked in somewhere on Facebook with friends or family, be it that time you went to Barcelona, or just your local Pizza Express. If they’re lagging in the check in’s then be warned they probably spent all their time on the internet fishing around.
    • …and their posts. Everyone gets a post from someone every now and then, even if it’s from your great aunty sharing a funny meme. If no one has posted on their wall to wish them a happy birthday, tagged them in a photo on Instagram or shared anything with them, then this has got to be a cause for concern.
    • …and their photos. There’s nothing wrong with having photos of yourself on your profile (it is your profile after all), but if they don’t have any photos with their friends or family and it’s mostly photos of themselves at weird angles with bad lighting, then something’s up; are they even tagged in other friends’ photos? If not, something fishy’s going on…
    • … and their mates. Do you have any mutual friends? If so, can they vouch for them? If they only have a handful of random contacts with no mutual friends, it’s usually a telltale sign of a fish in our midst…
    • Get real. If it seems too good to be true – it probably is (sorry to be bursting the bubble). Watch out, if it’s all getting a bit too serious, too soon and they’re making obscure promises, get the hint. They aren’t going to fly you to the Caribbean and David Beckham most definitely doesn’t send random people friend requests. Sorry, move on.
    • Got the story straight? Make sure everything they’re telling you adds up (trust your gut instinct). Conflicting information is a sign their whole identity is built on lies, so it’s hard to always keep the story straight. Remember, fish only have three-second memories, it’s easy to let something slip by when you’ve constructed an entire web of lies…
    • Skype ‘em. If they don’t want to Skype, Facetime or even Snapchat, this is a big red flag. Catfishes are often very camera shy. It’s an easy excuse to spot because they are hiding their true identity, so beware.
    • Watch out for elaborate stories e.g., lies. Catfishes tell outrageous lies which are often a dead give-a-way. A Catfish may well claim to be a model, be in a job that makes them travel to extravagant locations or work in the music industry. This will create little niggling doubts in your mind, listen to them!

Ultimately, if you’re doubting it – you’re most likely right. But before you go join the FBI as a detective, none of the above methods are fool-proof. They can, however, give you a good indication as to how credible somebody is.

If you are going to meet up with someone online, we would strongly recommend that you do it in a public place like the shopping Mall. Always arrange to meet in the daytime and always tale somebody with you or at least have a mate nearby on standby. Most importantly, never go without telling an adult first.

What’s more, we’d also advise against sexting someone you’ve never met before. Trust us… we hear a lot of horror stories from people who have been talking to someone they thought they knew….

    But wait… There’s more…

How to ask a foreign girl out

What to do if you’ve called Catfish?

So, you’ve called it. Nothing adds up and their photos are looking increasingly fishy…

    • Try talking to them: You could try and reason with them to encourage them to axe the pretence and to come out as themselves.
    • Axe it: We’d recommend blocking them from all of your social media and phone.
    • Report it: It’s actually a criminal offence to Catfish. It’s impersonation and fraudulent and people can get into a lot of trouble for it, especially if they have bad intentions. Report their profiles to social networks, even if it’s just to look out for somebody else. If it’s really serious, report it to the Police.
    • Tell an adult: If you’re scared of getting into trouble, it could be somebody who you don’t know – like a Ditch the Label mentor or somebody over at Childline. It’s important to document it. Join the Community to talk to someone.
    • Mutual mates?: If you know other people on the Catfish’s friends list. Tell them. They have a right to know too.

Sometimes it happens, but we learn from our mistakes and move on. If you need any further advice or have questions and need support, please do get in touch on the Ditch the Label Community – we’ve got your back.

How to ask a foreign girl out

Students in U.S. high schools can get free digital access to The New York Times until Sept. 1, 2021.

When people ask you where you’re from, is it easy for you to answer? Have you moved around a lot or have you always lived in the same place?

Are people usually satisfied with your response, or do you find yourself having to explain further?

In “The Complexity in ‘Where Are You From?’” Vanessa Hua writes about asking her parents that question:

When I asked my father where he was born, I never got a straight answer. Wuhan, he’d say. In other moments, he’d claim Wuchang.

I didn’t understand why he couldn’t state a simple fact. My assumption reflected my privilege, that of a girl who’d known only the peace and stability of the suburbs east of San Francisco. Much later, I would realize that his birthplace had been absorbed into Wuhan, a provincial capital formed from the sprawl of Wuchang, Hankou and Hanyang.

My father is gone now, but I’ve wondered what he would make of the coronavirus. He surely would have worried about his family more than himself.

It would have pained him that relations have cratered between his ancestral and adopted homelands, causing a backlash against Asian-Americans. “Go back to where you came from!” we’re told.

But where did we come from, and why does it matter? Among other Chinese, the question is a conversation starter in which we can situate ourselves and our people, in every far-flung corner of the diaspora. Your ancestral province might stamp itself upon your character, in your traits — determining your height, your ambitions and your looks.

Born in China, my parents fled to the island of Taiwan at the close of World War II. Later on, they came to the United States for graduate school in science and engineering.

I used to think my parents were cagey about their past because they wanted to focus on the future. Perhaps, growing up in the shadow of Communism, or in making a life for themselves in this country, they’d also learned not to disclose too much, for who knew how it might get turned against them?

All that might have been true, though now I understand I may have missed another reason. Just as my father couldn’t readily tell me where he was born, neither of my parents could say exactly where they were from because they’d moved around so much during their childhood, amid conflicts with Japanese forces in the years before and during World War II.

She continues, reflecting on her own experience about trying to explain where she is from:

I never faced such perils. Before leaving for college, I lived at the same address all my life, in the airy, light-filled house designed by my father, a structural engineer. It’s the same house where I now live with my twin sons, my husband and my mother.

And yet the question “where are you from?” is just as complicated for me to answer. Or rather, my initial reply — “I’m from California”— never seems to satisfy the strangers asking. Their mouths twitch and silence lengthens between us.

“I’m from the Bay Area,” I’ll clarify, even though I know I’m delaying the inevitable. It’s clear what they want to know, which perversely makes me want to hold out on them.

    “But …” they trail off.

I can tell they think I’m misleading them. Some can’t hide their irritation that I’m not revealing information they feel entitled to having.

At last I’ll say, “I was born in the United States, but my parents are from China.”

They nod, pleased to confirm their suspicion that my family isn’t from here, that Asian-Americans are perpetual foreigners. They don’t realize they’re asking a question even my father couldn’t have answered.

How do you respond when people ask you where you are from? To you, is where you are from the town you were born in? The house you grew up in? The place you’ve lived that has felt the most like home? The country your parents or ancestors are from? Or something else?

Ms. Hua asks, “But where did we come from, and why does it matter?” What do you think? How much does where you are from matter to you? Why do we ask people this question? What can the answer reveal about a person? What can’t it tell us?

How important is it to you to know where your parents and family come from? What do you think this information can tell you about them? About yourself? How freely do your parents and other relatives talk about their past?

Ms. Hua writes that, for her, the question “Where are you from?” can sometimes carry extra weight; people aren’t satisfied until she answers in a way that confirms “their suspicion that my family isn’t from here, that Asian-Americans are perpetual foreigners.” Have you ever had an experience like hers? How did it make you feel? Have you ever doubted where someone is from because of how he or she looks? Does this essay make you think any differently about asking that question in the future?

Ms. Hua says of her grandmother’s necklace, which has been passed down in her family, “Where I’m from is everywhere it’s been.” Do you have an object that connects you to your home and to your family? What is it and what does it symbolize for you?

How to ask a foreign girl out

Cute Pickup Lines to Impress Girls: Let’s be very clear. We hate pick up lines that’re crass. Pick up lines should be sweet, romantic, funny and all other things that can make a girl smile, not cringe. If you really really want to impress a girl, try to be honest. Try speaking your heart out rather than relying on cheesy and boring one-liners that you picked up from a Google search. We’re on a mission to change status quo and bet you’ll have a change of heart after reading these. Whether you’re asking out a friend or just want to walk up to a girl in a coffee shop or at a bar, have the courage to be vulnerable. Have the balls to open up your feelings, without sounding like a big bore of course. Say something funny and more importantly say something that comes naturally to you. Read these amazeballs quotes but do not copy-paste them. Be original and think of how you can create something of your own. You don’t need to be a ‘playa’ or a Rockstar to be able to use a pick up line to impress a girl… just be real and most importantly, be yourself.

    1) I’m not the kinda guy that walks up to girls with pick up lines. But I am hoping that you’re the kinda girl who’d go out with a guy that’s kinda like me!

    2) I’m pathetic with pickup lines. But I hope you’ll take some time to know the real me over a coffee perhaps?

    3) They say beauty is only skin deep. I say beauty is you.

    4) I asked Google, show me all the romantic pickup lines to impress a girl. None of them sounded as good as the sound my heart makes when it skips a beat after seeing you!

    5) I’m sick and tired of pick up lines. I’m kinda old school. I want to look right into your eyes over a cuppa coffee and tell you how beautiful you are. May I?

    6) Boy: Just to let you know, I’m on a mission to hide every single chair in the world.

Boy: So you can sit in my lap

    7) I could fire off a cute pickup line to impress a girl like you, but the truth is that I’m not that kinda guy. I’m a simple dude hoping to make you smile with cute conversations over coffee. Wontcha?

How to ask a foreign girl out

    8) I’m just a shy guy asking out a girl. I don’t have a cute pickup line and I don’t have game. But I promise we’ll have the craziest conversations and endlessly talk about stupid things. Coffee?

    9) I had the best pick up line to impress a girl like you, all memorized… until the point I walked up, looked into your eyes and got lost in how gorgeous you are.

    10) The only thing that comes to my mind when I look at you, is the thought of us sitting by the beach watching the sun go down… and then spending the night looking at the stars and talking about our lives till the sun comes up again.

    11) You’re like sunshine. You make me feel happy.

    12) When I looked at you I wished I had the gift of the gab. Unfortunately I don’t, so I don’t have flashy pick up lines… but I promise once you get to know me, our conversations will never end. Coffee?

    13) I bet you want to go out with me. If I’m right, I get to kiss you and if I’m wrong, then you get to decide whether you want to kiss me now or after our date.

    14) The moment I say you, I feel like my day has just started. Go out with me, sunshine?

How to ask a foreign girl out

    15) I though the CRUSH starts with C. Why does mine start with U?

    16) I have never ever walked up to a girl who I haven’t met before, and asked her out with a flashy pickup line. But I guess there’s always a first time for everything, especially when it is someone as pretty as you are!

    17) Boy: Can I take a selfie with you?

Boy: So I can show all my friends that I met the girl of my dreams

    18) I’ll take at least a couple of hours to tell you how pretty you are. How about we talk about that over coffee?

    19) I know you weren’t looking at me but my heart insists that you did… can you please speak to my heart about it.

    20) Maybe it’s too soon to say that I really like you…. but I really want to find out if that’s true! Coffee?

    21) I’m not a ladies man. I’m not a player. I’m just a simple guy asking the prettiest girl I’ve seen, to spend some time with me over a coffee. Will ya?

How to ask a foreign girl out

    22) The only reason I believe in destiny is because I met you.

    23) I don’t know you name nor would I even remember it… I’m kinda lost right now thinking how pretty you are.

    24) I wish there was a word to describe how pretty you are. But I bet the word for it hasn’t even been invented yet coz you’re so so so so so pretty.

    25) Just the word pretty is an insult for someone as gorgeous as you are.

    26) I’m not a rich dude with a swanky car. I’m not a flashy guy. I’m not a smart talker. I’m an emotional mess who likes to enjoy life’s cute conversation with people who take my breath away… and you have! Go out with me?

    27) Like the stars in the sky, my heart twinkles when I look into your eyes. xoxo

    28) Can I borrow you to have coffee with me? I promise I’ll return you to where I picked you from, plus a smile on your face guaranteed.

How to ask a foreign girl out

    29) I don’t know you, you don’t know me. But don’t worry, that can change over coffee!

    30) Boy: Aren’t you feeling sleepy?

Boy: You came in my dreams all last night and kept me up till sunrise.

    31) I wish I had those smooth pickup lines that apparently make girls week in the knees. No I don’t have those fancy words and tbh I’m just a regular guy, feeling nervous and anxious as I walk up to you and ask you out for a date. Will you?

    32) Did you just say cheese? Coz I can’t help but smile when I look at you.

    33) How I feel when I see you, I can’t explain in words right now…. But maybe of endless conversations and laughs, if you give me a chance?

    34) TBH pick up lines are overrated. They’re rude and sometimes even crass. Call me old school but this is who I am. All I ask for, is a date with the lady with class.

    35) My heart beats faster every time I see you. The doctors are clueless and so am I. Can you tell me the reason why?

    36) I believe in magic. I believe in fairytales. I believe in love. I believe in destiny. I believe in all things that can’t be explained… like how my heart skips a beat when I see you. Can we hang out together?

Boy: Can I buy you an ice-cream?

Boy: It’s ok, you can buy me one

    38) There’s nothing I can say that’ll do justice to what I’m feelin’ within… except that you’re drivin’ me cray cray! How about I tell you all about it over a coffee, what say?

    39) My iPhone says it won’t unlock unless I take a selfie with you over coffee. Won’t leave me hangin’ will ya?

Feel like you’ve been talking forever? Here’s how to politely move on.

You’ve just had a really interesting conversation with a potential colleague, friend, or customer. Or maybe you’ve had a chat that was a tedious waste of your time. Either way, the conversation is done and you would like to move on — but you don’t want to seem rude or uninterested. What do you do?

It is possible to terminate a conversation gracefully, says Morag Barrett, an HR consultant, leadership coach and author of Cultivate: The Power of Winning Relationships. Yesterday, I shared Barrett’s tips for starting a networking conversation. Here are her tips for ending one politely:

    1. Say thank you and goodbye.

Sometimes the easiest approach is to be direct. “It’s been great talking with you. Thank you for sharing your experience. Enjoy the rest of the evening.” Barrett suggests accompanying this statement with a handshake (unless one or both of your are balancing food and drinks), and then moving on.

    2. Excuse yourself to phone home.

“Please excuse me, I have to check on the kids before they go to bed,” or a similar family-related call is a reliable way to end a conversation. “As you exit, make sure you do in fact make call (or at the very least appear to be making one),” Barrett warns.

    3. Ask who else you should meet.

“I promised myself I would meet three new people this evening. Who would you suggest I talk to next?” This approach works especially well if the person you’re talking with knows a lot of other people at the event. They might even make an introduction to help things along. If they don’t have a suggestions for whom you should meet, say thank you and move on, Barrett advises.

    4. Introduce the other person to someone you know.

This is the flip side of the last piece of advice, Barrett says. “You are initiating the new introduction and once you’ve done so, you are free to move on.”

    5. Ask directions to the rest room.

“A simple excuse and a signal that the conversation has come to an end,” Barrett says. “However, do head to the rest room and not the bar to avoid any misunderstanding or offense.”

    6. Offer to deliver a drink.

This isn’t among Barrett’s tips, but it’s a strategy I’ve used often to end a conversation at an event. Say something like, “I’m going to go get a drink (or coffee or whatever). Would you like me to bring you something?” This polite offer will nearly always meet with a polite refusal, but if the other person takes you up on it, it’s quite acceptable to bring the drink, say something like, “I really enjoyed meeting you,” and move on.

    7. Ask if you will meet the other person at a future event.

“I’ve really enjoyed talking with you. Will you be at the next meeting? Maybe we can continue our conversation then.” As Barrett says, this is short and sweet and leaves the door open for future connections. It also signals that you need to move on for now.

    8. Ask for the other person’s card.

“Sometimes the most obvious approaches are the easiest,” Barrett says. “Ask for a card, look at it, and thank the person for their time.”

    9. Give the other person your card.

Barrett recommends saying something like, “Let me give you my card. Please get in touch if I can help you in any way.” If you don’t want the other person’s card or he or she doesn’t offer one, then offer yours instead. “It’s a standard signal that the conversation is ending,” she says.

    10. Ask to connect on social media.

Barrett recommends saying something like, “Thanks for spending time with me. May I connect with you on LinkedIn?” She herself likes to ask permission before sending a connection request, although that may not be strictly necessary. Depending on your industry and whether your new acquaintance is more a business connection or a personal one, you might ask to connect on Facebook or some other social network. Like asking for a card, it’s a good way to signal that today’s conversation is over, but you would like to stay in touch.

    11. Plan a get-together.

If you and the other person could potentially do business together, or you would like to make friends with him or her, then ask if he or she would like to meet for coffee at a future date. That will give the two of you an opportunity to talk with fewer distractions. And it also means you can both move on for today and find other interesting people to start new conversations with.

Being a telemarketer is an exercise in resilience—constantly making unwanted phone calls to people who typically hang up on you. I should know: I worked as one for two years. Most people don’t know how to get rid of us, but the right approach can make all the difference. Here’s how you can get rid of telemarketers like me and save us both a lot of time.

    How telemarketers get to you

Not all companies run exactly the same way, but most calls follow a similar pattern. Successful telemarketers generally have a 96 percent chance of getting turned down. With such terrible odds, they will be relentless in trying to keep you on the phone.

Each telemarketer has their own username and password, so all the information they gather during their shift stays linked to them. Depending on the company calling you, the lead will display a little or a lot of information. I work for an arts organization, so we can see the customer’s entire history: subscriptions, added ticket purchases for friends, donations and sometimes even notes on who their assistants or friends are. In other cases, they may just have your phone number.

Avoid Telemarketers by Understanding Their Secrets

Sure, you can put yourself on the Do Not Call list but that doesn’t stop telemarketers from being…

Anything relevant you mention will be added to your lead profile: an email address, best time to call, or your objections to the product. Don’t say anything to the telemarketer unless you want it written down on your profile.

If the caller doesn’t reach you, they mark your lead as “no answer” and the system programs it so you get called again a few days later. If the company does not have a large lead pool, you may get called as soon as 12 hours later. If you’re dealing with this kind of aggressive campaign, it’s actually better to answer then to let them keep calling you. (More on how to handle that later.)

If the caller does speak to you, they will do their best to sell to you on the first call. A good telemarketer uses the “Three Nos” rule: don’t let the customer go until they have said “no” three times during the phone call. This technique has actually worked for me several times. After the first two no, the client often runs out of reasons and becomes more persuadable. Telemarketers try to keep you on the phone as long as possible because they can eventually wear you down and get money out of you.

If you don’t purchase on that initial phone call , the telemarketer will log everything you’ve said and suggest calling you back another time. These are logged as “call backs”—tiny gold nuggets for telemarketers. Selling to a call back is more likely than selling to a first call because you’ve already established a rapport. This process may take weeks, and sometimes results in a sale simply because the patron wants to stop the calls.

    How you’re making it worse

A lot of people make simple mistakes that lead to several more calls. Here are the things you need to avoid:

    • Don’t immediately hang up the phone. This results in the telemarketer marking your lead as “no answer” and calling you back until they actually have a conversation with you.
    • Don’t engage with the telemarketer in any way. This gives them the false hope that you may just need some convincing and are actually interested in their product. Do not ask questions. Do not explain why you are not interested in the product. Do not show empathy or other human characteristics.
    • Don’t get irrationally angry at the telemarketer. Remember, the computer chose your lead, not the caller. If you scream at them because you’ve gotten called before, this will not make them sympathetic to your case. It’s likely they’ll just put you back into the lead pool to torture you. If the telemarketer is being rude, you can ask to speak to a manager. Despite what they might say, every campaign and business has a supervisor in the call room.
    • Don’t give up mid-conversation and hang up without an explanation. This will most likely result in the telemarketer calling back, claiming you got “disconnected.” If you don’t answer then, they will keep calling.
    • Don’t let the telemarketer call you back at another time. Anything that’s not a hard “no” will be interpreted as an opportunity to call you back. When you say “This isn’t a good time,” the telemarketer hears “Call me back later!” When you say “Sorry, I don’t have time to talk about this right now” the telemarketer hears “I will buy this another day!”
