Here if you don’t want to add password then don’t type ‘key=’ instead, just type:

Step 4:

Now to check whether the account has been added or not, sign out and you will see the another account which you just created.

To Remove User Account

Step 1: Press Win + X to run Command Prompt (Admin).
In other Windows operational systems, you may have to click “Start”, type “cmd” and press Enter to run command prompt.

Step 2: Type “net user” command to see what the user accounts are on Windows server 2012 (R2).

Okay just forget about my exam, today I just want to share a simple tips and trick for today, about “How to Add User With Administrator Rights Using Command Prompt“. If you follow this tips and trick, maybe it will not exceed 1 minute, even for some of you can do it in less than 30 second 😛

Ah I also just want to inform you that in next 2 articles(just wait for the update), I will post a tips and trick and also hacking tutorial about Remote Desktop (for some of you who don’t familiar with console, you will love it 🙂 )

This tips and trick will add a user with administrative rights, you will need it when you owned a system to add a user there.

Requirement :

1. Command Prompt [or] shell you got from a compromised system

Step by Step :

1. Open your command prompt and type this command :

The command above will add user name v4L with password 12345. If you just add until this step, you just add user with limited privilege.

2. The next step, we continue to add another command :

Now in this 2nd step, we add our user v4L to administrators group. Now this user already has an administrative rights.

3. We move again to the last 3rd step, now lets type again another command :

The command above will grant user name v4L will full grant, that’s mean v4L can do everything on the system including see other users file 🙂

I try the following command to add a domain user into local Administrators group of my Windows 7 computer and my computer has already joined domain.

net localgroup administrators mydomain.localuser1 /add /domain

It returns successful added, but I don’t find it in the local Administrators group.

How can I do it?

As of Vista, cacls is deprecated. Here’s the first couple of help lines:

You should use icacls instead. This is how you grant John full control over D:test folder and all its subfolders:

According do MS documentation:

  • F = Full Control
  • CI = Container Inherit – This flag indicates that subordinate containers will inherit this ACE.
  • OI = Object Inherit – This flag indicates that subordinate files will inherit the ACE.
  • /T = Apply recursively to existing files and sub-folders. ( OI and CI only apply to new files and sub-folders). Credit: comment by @AlexSpence.

To grant the Users group Full Control to a folder:

To grant Modify permission to IIS users for C:MyFolder (if you need your IIS has ability to R/W files into specific folder):

If you do ICACLS /? you will be able to see all available options.

I try the below way and it work for me:
1. open cmd.exe
2. takeown /R /F *.*
3. icacls * /T /grant [username]:(D)
4. del *.* /S /Q

So that the files can become my own access and it assign to “Delete” and then I can delete the files and folders.

Corrupt Permissions: Regaining access to a folder and its sub-objects

Although most of the answers posted in reply to the question have some merit, IMHO none of them give a complete solution. The following (might be) a perfect solution for Windows 7 if you are locked-out of a folder by corrupted permission settings:

For Windows 10 the user/SID must be specified after the /remove:d option:

The command is applied to the specified directory.

Specifying the user “Everyone” sets the widest possible permission, as it includes every possible user.

The option “/remove:d” deletes any explicit DENY settings that may exist, as those override explicit ALLOW settings: a necessary preliminary to creating a new ALLOW setting. This is only a precaution, as there is often no DENY setting present, but better safe than sorry.

The option “/grant” creates a new ALLOW setting, an explicit permission that replaces (“:r”) any and all explicit ALLOW settings that may exist.

The “F” parameter (i.e. the permission created) makes this a grant of FULL control.

The “/T” parameter adds recursion, applying these changes to all current sub-objects in the specified directory (i.e. files and subfolders), as well as the folder itself.

The “(OI)” and “(CI)” parameters also add recursion, applying these changes to sub-objects created subsequently.

ADDENDUM (2019/02/10)

The Windows 10 command line above was kindly suggested to me today, so here it is. I haven’t got Windows 10 to test it, but please try it out if you have (and then will you please post a comment below).

The change only concerns removing the DENY setting as a first step. There might well not be any DENY setting present, so that option might make no difference. My understanding is, on Windows 7, that you don’t need to specify a user after /remove:d but I might be wrong about that!

User astark recommends replacing Everyone with the term *S-1-1-0 in order for the command to be language independent. I only have an English install of Windows, so I can’t test this proposal, but it seems reasonable.

The Windows Remote desktop can be enable with the command line such as CMD and Powershell. Here we enable remote desktop using command prompt in Windows 10. You can use this method on all Microsoft Windows server and Workstation systems.

In Microsoft Windows operating systems, you can connect to a computer running Windows from another computer running Windows that’s connected to the same network or the Internet. For example, you can use all of your work computer’s programs, files, and network resources from your home computer, and it’s just like you’re sitting in front of your computer at work.

To connect to a remote computer, that computer must be turned on; it must have a network connection, Remote Desktop must be enabled. You must have network access to the remote computer (this could be through the Internet), and you must have permission to connect. For permission to connect, you must be on the list of remote desktop users. Before you start a connection, it’s a good idea to look up the name of the computer you’re connecting to and to make sure Remote Desktop connections are allowed through its firewall.

Enable Remote Desktop using Command Line

To enable remote desktop using command line, you must have administrator permission in Windows. The command line interfaces, command prompt or Powershell, must run as administrator.

Enable remote desktop process:

  1. Run Windows Command Prompt.
  2. Execute registry command to enable remote desktop.
  3. Enable Remote Desktop on system Firewall.
  4. Test Remote Desktop Connectivity between two systems.

The username “Shais” has been added successfully to “Remote Desktop Users” group. You can test the remote desktop user members with below command.

Enable Remote Desktop Connection with GUI

To allow remote connections on the computer, you want to connect to:

  1. Open System by clicking the Start button, right-clicking Computer, and then click Properties.
  2. Click Remote settings.If you’re prompted for an administrator password or confirmation, type the password or provide confirmation. Under Remote Desktop, select one of the three options.
  3. Click Select Users.If you’re an administrator on the computer, your current user account will automatically be added to the list of remote users, and you can skip the next two steps.
  4. In the Remote Desktop Users dialog box, click Add.
  5. In the Select Users or Groups dialog box, do the following:
    1. To specify the search location, click Locations, and then select the location you want to search.
    2. In entering the object names to select, type the name of the user that you want to add, and then click OK.

    To look up the computer name of the remote computer:

    1. On the remote computer, open System by clicking the Start button, right-clicking Computer, and then click Properties.
    2. Under Computer name, domain, and workgroup settings, you can find your computer name, and it’s full computer name if your computer is on a domain.

    To allow Remote Desktop connections through a Windows Firewall:

    If you’re having trouble connecting, Remote Desktop connections might be getting blocked by the firewall. Here’s how to change that setting on a Windows PC. If you’re using another firewall, make sure the port for Remote Desktop (usually 3389) is open.

    1. On the remote computer, click Start and select Control Panel.
    2. Click System and Security.
    3. Then click Allow a program through Windows Firewall under Windows Firewall.
    4. And click Change settings and then check the box next to Remote Desktop.
    5. Click OK to save the changes.

    To set a password for your user account

    Your user account must have a password before you can use Remote Desktop to connect to another computer.

    1. Click Start and select Control Panel.
    2. Double-click User Accounts.
    3. Select Change your Windows Password under User Accounts.
    4. Click Create a password for your account and follow the instructions on the screen.

    To start Remote Desktop on the computer, you want to work from:

    1. Open Remote Desktop Connection by clicking the Start button. In the search box, type Remote Desktop Connection, and then, in the list of results, click Remote Desktop Connection.

    Part 1: Create new partitions using command prompt

    Step 7: Type Exit and press enter to close the command prompt.

    Part 2: Delete a partition using DiskPart

    You can delete almost any partition, except for the system partition which running CMD. Remember to back up important data before partition formatting. There are 2 ways to remove a partition using CMD.

    Way 1. Delete partitions with volume command

    Step 1: Run CMD as administrator.

    Click the “Start” menu and type cmd in the searching box. Then right-click the top result and select the Run as administrator.

    Step 2: Run volume command.

    In the pop-up interface, type diskpart and press Enter. Then input list volume and hit Enter.

    Step 3: Select and delete a volume.

    Type “select volume volume-number” to select the volume you’d like to delete and hit Enter. Remember to replace volume-number with the partition you want to delete, like “Select volume 4”.

    Then type delete volume and press Enter.

    Way 2. Remove a partition with partition command

    Step 1: Run CMD as administrator.

    Click the “Start” menu and type cmd in the searching box. Then right-click the top result and select the Run as administrator.

    Step 2: Select a disk.

    In the command prompt window, input diskpart and press Enter. Then type list disk and hit Enter. According to the disk information, choose the one where the partition is located, type “select disk disk-number” and press Enter.

    Find the partition according to the information presented. Type “select partition partition-number” and press Enter.

    How to create a new user account using Command Prompt?

    This tutorial describes how to create a new user account in the Windows operating system using Command Prompt. The guide is helpful when dealing with ransomware or fake antivirus programs that block Safe Mode and Safe Mode with Networking. Cyber criminals responsible for developing malicious programs develop new methods to protect their bogus software from elimination – this includes blocking users’ access to Safe Mode.

    When dealing with security threats such as these, it is advisable to log out of the infected user account and run a security scan from an unaffected account. This, however, is only possible if your operating system has multiple active user accounts. If you computer is infected with a ransomware infection, and you cannot create a new user account using Control Panel, then use the following instructions:

    1. Start your computer in Safe Mode with Command Prompt. During your computer start process, press the F8 key on your keyboard multiple times until the Windows Advanced Options menu appears, then select Safe mode with Command Prompt from the list and press ENTER.

    Note that some fake antivirus programs and ransomware infections are capable of infecting other user accounts on a system, so this method may not always work.

    2 Options to Add a User to Local Administrators Group

    Only an administrator can perform the administration tasks such as installing a driver or an application. If you have an existing standard or limited account, you can grant it administrator privileges by adding it to the built-in Administrators group. Here are two options to add a user to the local Administrators group in Windows 10, 8, 7, Vista or XP.

    Option 1: Computer Management

    The easier way to add a user to the local Administrators group is to use the Computer Management app. Here’s how:

    1. To open the Computer Management, right-click on My Computer icon on your desktop and then select Manage. Another method is to press the Windows key + R to bring up the Run box, then type compmgmt.msc and hit Enter.
    2. When the Computer Management window opens, expand Local Users And Groups in the left pane, and click on Users (Please skip to the option 2 below if you don’t see Local Users and Groups.)

    Option 2: Command Prompt

    However, not every edition of Windows have the Local Users and Groups entry in the Computer Management (for example, Windows 8 Home and domain controller). This method will work on all editions of Windows.

    1. Open an elevated Command Prompt. In Windows 10 or 8, press the Windows key + X and then click “Command Prompt (Admin)“. In Windows 7 or Vista, go to Start > All Programs > Accessories, then right-click on Command Prompt shortcut and select “Run as Administrator“.
    2. To see a list of local groups available, just type:
      net localgroup
    3. You can add a user to the built-in Administrators group by running the following command:

    net localgroup Administrators [username] /add

    For example, add a user named test to the administrators group, we can run the below command.
