You can add files to OneDrive in many different ways and then get to them from anywhere.

How to add photos to a pdf on a mobile device

Using the OneDrive website

Depending on the web browser you use, you can upload files up to 250GB in size. (This limit is per file, not total.)

Note: For transferring large files or lots of files, we recommend adding the files to the OneDrive desktop app rather than using the Upload button on the website.

On the OneDrive website, sign in with your Microsoft account, and then browse to the location where you want to add the files.

Select Upload.

How to add photos to a pdf on a mobile device

Select the files you want to upload, and then select Open.

You can also drag files from File Explorer or Mac Finder straight to your files on the OneDrive website.

In the Google Chrome or Microsoft Edge browser, you can also upload folders from the Folder option on the Upload menu, or drag folders to the website.

Using File Explorer or Mac Finder to copy or move files to OneDrive

You can copy or move files between folders within OneDrive, or from other folders on your computer. (When you move files from other folders on your computer into a OneDrive folder, you’re removing them from your computer and adding them to OneDrive.)

For both File Explorer and Mac Finder, if you want to copy the item rather than move it, right-click the file or folder and select Copy, then open the OneDrive folder (or sub-folder) and right-click > Paste a copy of the item to OneDrive.

To move a file using Windows File Explorer, drag files from the file list in the right pane to OneDrive in the left pane.

How to add photos to a pdf on a mobile device

To move a file using Mac Finder, drag files from the file list in the right pane to OneDrive in the left pane (if you have OneDrive listed there under Favorites). After a moment, Finder will switch to show your existing OneDrive files and folders in the right pane, and you can drag the file into the sub-folder of your choice.

In Windows 10

In new installations of Windows 10 for many eligible users, files save to OneDrive by default in Windows 10, rather than to your PC. This means you can access those files from any device that can connect to the Internet, and they are protected in case your computer is ever damaged. You can change your default save setting anytime. Learn how to set where your files are saved or move your files to OneDrive.

In Windows 8.1 or Windows RT 8.1

You can add files and folders to OneDrive automatically from your PC without having to go to the OneDrive website. Files you add to OneDrive this way can be up to 250GB in size. (If you sign in with a work or school account, the maximum file size is 15GB.)

You can save directly to OneDrive from Microsoft Office files (like Word docs and Excel worksheets), PDFs, and other documents. If your PC has a built-in camera, you can automatically save copies of the photos you take directly to OneDrive so you’ll always have a backup. To make sure your PC is set up to save automatically, check your OneDrive settings.

Swipe in from the right edge of the screen, tap Settings, and then tap Change PC settings. (If you’re using a mouse, point to the lower-right corner of the screen, move the mouse pointer up, click Settings, and then click Change PC settings.)

For documents, select OneDrive, and then turn on Save documents to OneDrive by default.

For photos, select Camera roll, and then choose Upload photos at good quality, or for higher resolution copies, choose Upload photos at best quality.

When you move files, you’re removing them from your PC and adding them to OneDrive.

Select the arrow next to OneDrive and choose This PC.

Browse to the files you want to move, and then swipe down on them or right-click them to select them.

Select Cut.

Select the arrow next to This PC and choose OneDrive to browse to a folder in your OneDrive.

Swipe in from the top or bottom edge of the screen or right-click to open the app commands, and then select Paste.

Using the OneDrive desktop app

If you have Windows 7, Windows Vista, or a Mac, you can install the free OneDrive desktop app to upload files and folders to OneDrive automatically. Files you upload using the desktop app can be up to 20GB in size.

Using a mobile app

You can upload files to OneDrive using the OneDrive mobile app for Android, iOS, or Windows Phone. To learn how, see:

From Microsoft Office or Microsoft 365

In any Office document, select File > Save As, choose your OneDrive, and then pick the folder where you want to save the file.

In Adobe Acrobat, the insert image function is easy to execute when you know what to do. The same is true in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC as well, and the two processes are identical. Although the task is a simple one, you probably know that Adobes products are fairly expensive. A one-time perpetual license can cost you hundreds of dollars, and even an annual subscription doesn’t come cheap. For that reason, after showing you how to insert an image into PDF using Adobe Reader DC free, Adobe Acrobat DC, and Adobe Acrobat Pro DC will be showcasing another powerful PDF editor that costs a fraction of what you’d be paying for the Adobe PDF tools. It is called PDFelement and comes in Standard and Pro versions for Windows and Mac, as well as in the form of mobile apps for iOS and Android for a truly cross-platform experience.

How to Insert Image in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC

The Pro version of Adobe Acrobat DC is a robust PDF editor with basic and advanced features that include editing, annotations, creating, signing, securing, forms management, OCR, document comparison, and so on. It is a comprehensive tool, no doubt, and is the clear market leader in this space. Here’s what you need to do to insert an image into PDF using Adobe Acrobat Pro DC in Windows.

  • 1. Open the PDF document in Adobe Acrobat Pro DC or the standard Acrobat DC version.
  • 2. In the “Tools” toolbar of the “Edit PDF” section, click on the “Add Image” option.
  • 3. Navigate to your image file, select it, and hit “Open”.
  • 4. In the PDF document, place your pointer where you want the image to go and click there. You can resize the image by dragging the border on the edges or the corners.
  • 5. Once the image is inserted, you can also edit the orientation and other attributes in the Edit Image section.

How to Insert Image into PDF with Adobe Reader DC Free

  • 1. Copy the image from its source using Ctrl+C. You can also insert it into a Word document in case it’s a standalone image file.
  • 2. Open the PDF in Adobe Reader and click on Comment to open the tool panel. You can also get there from the Tools menu at the top.
  • 3. Click on the arrow next to where it says “Add” and then go to the final item, which says “Paste Clipboard Image as Stamp.”
  • 4. The image will be placed as a stamp annotation, after which you can reposition and resize it in the PDF document.

The workaround process above works with Adobe Reader 2017 but, logically, it should work on later versions as well since you can still add an image as a stamp annotation on newer iterations like Adobe Reader DC.

How to Insert Image with an Adobe Acrobat Pro DC Alternative

An even better tool to use is PDFelement. It’s far more affordable than Adobes PDF products offers the same feature set and is actually much easier to use because the UI is a lot more intuitive than the clunky, cluttered layout of Adobe Acrobat. It also does batch processes at a faster rate and more accurately than most other PDF editors. PDFelement makes you edit PDF files with ease, including text and images. More about that later. Right now, let’s look at how to insert an image into a PDF document using PDFelement.

Step 1: Hit the “Add Image” Button

Launch PDFelement – even the free trial version lets you edit documents. Open the PDF file into which you want to insert the image. Click the “Edit” button at the top and then click on the “Add Image” icon in the toolbar below it.

Step 2: Select Image to Insert

Navigate to the image file in the new dialog box that opens up, choose your image, and hit the “Open” button.

How to add photos to a pdf on a mobile device

Once the image is inserted, you can reposition, resize, or edit it using the extensive image editing functions in PDFelement.

You can also drag an image file into PDFelement once you have the PDF document open in the application.

Why PDFelement is the Best Adobe Acrobat Alternative

We’ve already outlined some of the reasons why PDFelement is a great alternative to Adobe Acrobat, so here are more reasons to switch to this powerful PDF editor:

  • Extensive Editing Tools: Whether you’re editing text, images, links, or other objects, editing a PDF document is an intuitive experience, with all the tools you need appearing when you need them and disappearing into convenient collapsible panels when you’re done.
  • Comprehensive Conversion Options: Converting to and from PDF offers an extensive array of options. You can practically convert any document format into PDF, as well as convert PDF into other file types with a high degree of accuracy when maintaining layouts, fonts, and other attributes.
  • Advanced Forms and OCR Features: Everything from creating a form to converting a non-interactive one into a fully fillable, editable one is possible with PDFelement. You can do form field recognition, extract data, and sign your forms digitally. The OCR feature lets you convert text-based image files like scans into PDFs that are editable, indexable, and searchable.
  • Batch Processes: From adding watermarks to optimizing your PDF file sizes, a lot of your document workflows can be done in large batches of a hundred files or more at a time. The batch processes are as accurate as they are fast, and you will see your overall productivity perceptibly improve with PDFelement.

Aside from all these benefits, PDFelement offers a ton of annotation tools, security options like encryption and redaction, page and file organization, and other features that cover the gamut of your document management needs. The best part is that you can save your workflows on the cloud and access them on Windows and macOS, as well as iOS and Android. That means you can enjoy cross-device and cross-platform coverage with a seamless user experience as you transition from one device to another.

I’ve built a form with fields to add photos which works fine in Acrobat Pro on my mac but doesn’t seem to work on an iPad with Reader. What am I missing or what’s the solution?

As you have mentioned above, that the form with fields to add photos works fine in Acrobat Pro using Mac but it doesn’t on mobile app. So does that mean its not showing the pictures that you have added in the field or you are unable to add pictures in the field using mobile app?

There shouldn’t be any problem viewing them on mobile app.

The functionalities of a desktop app and mobile app are quite different. You do not get access to all the features in mobile as compare to desktop.

It shows pictures I’ve added on the desktop version.

But what I want to do is add pictures from the iPad when I’m on location. Here’s the scenario; I am in the construction industry estimating renovations to existing properties. I have created an estimate form that I can insert job spec’s into in order to flesh out the estimate. In addition to measurements and specified repairs, I want to take pictures with the iPad and insert them into the form so that other project managers can review them.

Is this not possible at all on mobile? It seems like a real limitation.

If so any additional ideas on solving this problem with a workaround would be great!

I understand your concern. But there isn’t anything much that can be done in this scenario.

I have an alternative option. Before you do that, please make sure following 2 things are fine with you,

1. Make a copy of the PDF, just in case something goes wrong.

2. Once the photo (image) is placed into the PDF and saved. The photo (image) CANNOT be deleted after all. If it is fine with you, then you may consider the workaround as described below.

The workaround is as following,

1. Use your device to take a photo

2. Open a PDF which you already made a copy

3. Tap the “Annotations” tool button at the bottom toolbar

4. Tap “Signature” tool button (rightmost one) at the bottom toolbar and “Create Signature” popover should appear as below,

5. Tap “Create Signature” in the popover

6. Then “Create Signature” panel should appear as below,How to add photos to a pdf on a mobile device

7. In “Create Signature” panel, toggle OFF “Save to Online Profile” radio button , then choose “Photo” icon next to the “Clear” button. It should prompt for asking permission to access your photos as below,

8. Tap “OK” to continue and “Photo” popover should appear as below,

9. Now, go to “Camera Roll” to select the photo you took in Step #1 and the selected photo should appear like below,

10. Now, you should be able to crop the Photo (image) by grabbing the crop handler at corners

11. After done with the cropping, tap “Done” button at the upper right hand corner, then the cropped photo (image) should appear in “Create Signature” panel like below,

How to add photos to a pdf on a mobile device

12. Tap “Done” button in the “Create Signature” panel

13. The photo (image) should appear in PDF, then tap on the newly added photo (image) to select it. It should appear like below,

14. Now, you should be able to resize the photo (image) by grabbing the handler to adjust the size

15. Then drag the photo (image) to the desired location

16. After placing the photo (image), tap outside the bounding box of the photo (image) to confirm the location

17 . If you decide to delete the photo (image) at this point, tap on the photo (image), the “Delete” contextual menu should appear as above Step #13 and tap “Delete” to continue to delete the photo (image)

Free to use online tool to convert JPG images to PDF documents. No registration or app download is required to use.

The standard format for images that are taken from your Android is JPG. The compressed image format makes it easy to cut down on storage space, albeit it’s a bit of a dead-end when it comes to editing.

To go from there, you can use our online tool to convert them to other formats, such as PDF. Follow the guide below to get started!

How’d your tool do this?

Smallpdf is the most popular online PDF tool for all your PDF needs (we have more than 25 million users every month 😊). But because we handle such large amounts of data, we have teamed up with PDF Tools to build our JPG to PDF converter for Android, for you. The format of the images should be fully preserved, even after the file transfer.

In case you have received images to your device from other sources, such as PNG, GIF, TIFF, and BMP – you can also pop them into our converter. Smallpdf accepts a wide variety of file formats on top of images, including your favorite Microsoft Office files: Mac, PPT, and Excel.

Can I adjust the JPG before the conversion?

Once you’ve uploaded an image to the JPG to PDF converter on your Android phone, the tool will display a preview of the image, along with a few options to adjust the width and height, margin, page size, and page orientation. As you hover over each of the image thumbnails, you will also be presented with options to zoom and deleted individual images. See, all-in-one JPG functionalities.

Post JPG to PDF conversion modification

After you convert your JPG to PDF, you can utilize more than 17 other PDF tools to modify the output file further. All are available via the homepage, and few of the tools include:

Delete pages: similar function as the one offered within the preview, but for PDFs

Rotate – rotate individual or multiple pages

Merge – to combine all the images that you’ve converted to PDF into one handy file

Edit – for annotation and/or redaction

My images won’t be stored online forever, right?

Not at all. For the JPG to PDF converter for Android, we will remove every individual image after one hour – counting from when you first upload it. This should give you more than sufficient time to upload, convert, and download your files since our tools are speedy!

Sharing converted files

Though files can be readily downloaded and shared via email, we’re taking file-sharing one step even further.

Once you’ve converted your file, on the result page, an option to ‘Share File will be available’ for you to either generate a unique download link to share or directly email someone with the converted file. Better yet, there is an option for you to change the name of the converted file, so there’s nothing that needs to be done outside of our platform. 🙂

Unlike the desktop version, ManyCam for mobile is not designed to connect with browsers or other apps, like Instagram, WhatsApp, Viber, etc due to limitations of the mobile operating systems (iOS, Android), therefore ManyCam for mobile is limited to RTMP streaming only and it also offers a limited number of features and effects compared to ManyCam for Desktop.

If you want to connect to other apps and services and use custom effects and various video streaming features like virtual background and lower thirds, try out our desktop app, which you can download for free at manycam.com.
